Submission is Now Open for The Emo Diaries, Chapter 13. Read everything on this page before you submit your music. This chapter will contain 12 unreleased songs. Submission is open to all bands, signed or unsigned, worldwide. All decisions made are based upon the song, not the band. It's the music that matters, not who the band is. Everyone has the same chance of being selected. You can learn more about this long-running series here.

Unreleased Songs Only:

Only previously UNRELEASED songs are eligible. "Unreleased" means the song is not, and never has been, available to the public on any service, medium or format (no previous streaming, downloads, vinyl, CD, samplers, compilations, etc.). Selected songs require a Two (2) year exclusivity clause after release date (cannot appear or be included anywhere else for that time - same for all bands since Chapter One). You can submit a maximum of Five (5) unreleased songs with your submission. Do not send songs via email or via any service / site other than Disco.

Exclusivity:

Since the series began, all songs that appear on The Emo Diaries require a Two (2) year EXCLUSIVE (ie, cannot appear or be included anywhere else for that time period). If you are not down with that, do not submit your music. Exclusivity of tracks is what makes The Emo Diaries a "go to" compilation. It's not a sampler.

Upload Platform - Disco:

We are using the DISCO drag-and-drop platform to receive submissions. Simply drag files into the upload area or select files on your computer. MP3s at 320kbps are recommended. Before uploading, include your band name and song title in each filename. When your files are done uploading, click Send Files at the bottom of the page.

In The Message Section on Disco:

Include your band name, city, state, country, phone number, instagram link, facebook link and/or youtube link and total number of band members.

Please Be Patient:

Deep Elm receives thousands of song submissions for each chapter. If your song is selected, you will be informed about all release details including exclusivity, promotion, distribution, royalties, etc. You can then confirm or decline participation.

Remember:

- Read everything on this page before you submit your music.
- Do not submit any songs that have been previously released.
- If you do not follow the directions above, your submission will be discarded.
